Mother’s Day 2012

We bought these glorious cupcakes, the day before Mother’s Day. They were being sold at Sherway Gardens, for one day only by a company called Eat My Words. All money raised, from the purchases, went to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Apparently, the company does this fundraiser every year, even though it was the first year we had heard about it. Being that it was going to a good cause, and I wanted something different to take on Mother’s Day, we grabbed these 4 beauties for the next day. Each was a different flavour consisting of vanilla raspberry, lemon, chocolate and carrot/cranberry. They were all so very scrumptious and worth the money. And to top it off, my Mom loved getting them, before they were devoured by the 4 of us after dinner out :) If you’re interested in finding out more about Eat My Words, just click on the source below, to be taken to their website.

Mmm…strawberries and whipped cream - bliss!! Omnomnom.

Last week, my bestie bought some of these, sour apple rings. I thought it was funny, since I don’t really eat candy like this anymore. But as soon as I had one, so many memories from my childhood came flooding back. Reminding me of all the good times that were had over candy. Not mention, that these sour apple rings were just plain nummy…omnomnom.

Bon Appetit Everyone!! :)

Made cupcakes for my Dad’s birthday. They were butter pecan with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles…omnomnom.

Veggie, garlic and onion tomato sauce and gnocchi bake :) It’s ready to go for tomorrow, so all we have to do, is throw it in the oven to warm up…omnomnom!! Was REALLY simple too. I did take a short cut and used 2 jars of ready tomato sauce, which I’m ALL for. I just added sauteed onions, garlic, green pepper, zucchini, cremini mushrooms and parmesan cheese, to bulk it up. Boiled 2 pkgs of gnocchi as directed, before adding it to the sauce and stirring it all together. I threw it into my lasagna size casserole dish and sprinkled 2 1/2 cups of an Italian 4-cheese blend shredded cheese over it. Can’t wait to try it tomorrow, as it’s the first time we’re having gnocchi this way…

Bon Appetit Everyone!! :)

Order up!! Can’t beat a homemade breakky…omnomnom :D It’s a 1000 times better, then the crap breakky my besty and I PAID for, last week at Eggsmart. PLUS, there’s no attitude or bad service here, unless my hubby swings that way ;)

Bon Appetit Everyone!! :)
